1st Warsash Sea Scout Group
We are a Royal Navy accredited Scout Group based in Warsash, Hampshire with over 150 Beavers, Cubs & Scouts. A team of 40 adult volunteer leaders run a wide variety of activities following the balanced programme of the Scout Association.
At 1st Warsash, we are lucky enough to have our own large headquarters in Warsash, where not only are our weekly meetings held, but we also have a separate building for maintaining our fleet of sailing dinghies and kayaks. Every week in the summer, you will see the Scouts out on the water enjoying a variety of water activities. Cubs and Beavers also have taster sessions on the water during their meetings. All of our young people have the opportunity to experience nights away from home, whether camping, enjoying a kayaking expedition or just sleeping overnight at our headquarters.
We have a fantastic team of adult volunteers from uniformed leaders to those who look after our resources, buildings, boats and finances. They also learn new skills and make new friends.
One of our District Explorer units meets at 1st Warsash headquarters, helping us to smooth the way of our older Scouts moving to Explorers at the age of 14 years.
