1st Park Gate Sea Scouts

1st Park Gate Sea Scouts is a Royal Navy recognised Sea Scout group with a Beaver, Cub and Scout section. Beavers and Cubs are based at Park Gate Primary School, and our Scouts meet at St John’s Church Hall. All sections meet during term time.

Our dedicated and passionate leaders offer a wide variety of activities following the balanced programme of the Scout Association. In addition to hiking, camping and traditional scouting activities we are able to offer a variety of water activities. In the summer term our Beavers go paddle boarding. We introduce kayaking and gigging (rowing) as the children get older and taster sessions in sailing. Our older scouts demonstrate independence by working towards planning and carrying out their own expeditions.

Attending county and district events whenever possible, enables our scouts to meet scouts from other groups in the area.

We take great pride in the family, feel a smaller scout group can offer and organise termly events involving all three sections. A highlight of our year is the themed ‘Family Camp’ when our scouts thrive on introducing their parents and families to the fantastic world of scouting.

Please contact us for further information and details of our weekly sessions.
