Taking effect from 2 December 2021, the youth sector moves to the Yellow readiness level and the following changes apply: Anyone aged 11+ must wear a face covering when indoors, unless they are exempt (and we recommend the use of known visible methods for people to display if they are exempt). We are asking everyone to review and update risk assessments for section meetings, activities and residentials as well as meetings, training, events and social activities for adults to reflect this change and the current readiness level. The District’s History Project

Fareham West Scout District was formed in November 1986 by splitting the then Fareham Scout District into Fareham East Scout District and Fareham West Scout District. Fareham Scout District had been formed around 1910.

Scouting has always been about sharing stories, round the campfire. We are fiercely proud of our roots and all Scouts know the history of the national movement. Unfortunately as our volunteers and technology has changed some of our group history has begun to be lost, several of our group start dates appear incorrect on Compass and some of our treasured photographs and trophies have disappeared.

We are challenging young people to ask the questions and digitise our group history.

The District will provide a digital storage area for photos and documents for each Group and Campsite. Your Young people take the lead learning digital photography, how to upload to the storage area, sharing the history of their group.
