Scouting at Home

Date: 25th Jun 2020 Author: Scout Websites

On 16th March the news came that face to face Scouting was suspended until further notice as Covid 19 forced the country into Lockdown.

The District quickly rose to the challenge providing scouting at home activities daily on our social media feeds #thegreatindoors, including take over weeks by Active Support, Old Scout Bushcraft and The District Shooting Team.

Zoom meetings quickly became the normal and leaders learnt the #skillsforlife to deliver them.
Well-done to all adults and young people for Scouting differently.

Put your phone down and what are you left with? Just teamwork, courage and the skills to succeed.’
