Taking effect from 2 December 2021, the youth sector moves to the Yellow readiness level and the following changes apply: Anyone aged 11+ must wear a face covering when indoors, unless they are exempt (and we recommend the use of known visible methods for people to display if they are exempt). We are asking everyone to review and update risk assessments for section meetings, activities and residentials as well as meetings, training, events and social activities for adults to reflect this change and the current readiness level. First Aid Training

In Fareham West, we currently offer the qualification of Emergency 1st Aid at Work. This is higher than the Scout requirement of 1st Response.

The course is staffed by an external trainer and has been very successful.

Cost: £35.00 per person
The cost of £35.00 is divided between £20.00 to the individual (invoiced to the Group) and £15.00 paid by District. Unfortunately County Sponsorship does not cover these.

This includes the course with all paperwork and manuals, and a three year certificate on completion.

Spaces: 24 Max

Current Courses

Postponed due to the current Covid-19 pandemic.

Changes to the standard course may also be required due to social distancing.

The Districts Qualification is of a higher qualification than the Scouting requirement of 1st Response. A blended learning approach to 1st response is offered by Hampshire Scouting.
